Rebecca Katsenes

Rebecca Katsenes is a graduate of the Boston University School of Fine Arts where she studied violin with Boston Symphony member Roger Shermont, and was coached in chamber music by Endel Kalam, Eugene Lehner, Victor Yampolsky, and and George Neikrug.


She has been a member of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra from 1991 and has performed in over 45 tours of the United States and Asia - worked with a multitude of performers including John Williams, Tony Bennett, Steve Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Broadway star Joel Grey, James Taylor, David Lee Roth, Marvin Hamlish, Dave Brubeck, Liza Minelli, Natalie Cole, and Michael Feinstein.


Rebecca has been a substitute violinist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1997 and has worked with Seji Ozawa, Andre Previn, Bernhard Hatink, Jeffrey Tate.


She has been a member of Boston Midsummer Opera, Portland Symphony, Portland Maine, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Harvard Chamber Orchestra, and performed with Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Odessy Opera.


Rebecca has performed solo recitals in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and works with David Kamhi, a graduate of Moscow Conservatory and student of the legendary violinist David Oistrakh.
